Stranger candy
When I went out with my
second album,
Em
I was still getting used to the idea of being a rock star,
you know?
And I had to talk a band
into coming out with me
and I said, yeah, you get to meet lots
of beautiful women.
And then we went to the show
and it was like 93 %
Am
50 -year -old alienated men
who go to sleep normally.
You're all mostly asleep
by this time, right?
And then I realized something
that there is a marketing strategy in this in that if I could attract
the 40 -year -old unmarried women,
then I could start a sort of musical
matchmaking service
because the 40 -year -old women
would come
and the 50 -year -old men would be there,
and there would be a vast disproportionate amount,
and the women
would be almost guaranteed
to come home with some loser or another,
which is what they're all looking for,
right? I'm sorry to say.
See, this is what I do.
This is what I do.
It's really sad.
I will win your love,
and then I stab you.
I've done this all my life
and I'm really trying not to do it anymore,
in my personal life anyway.
